- Before lighting the fire, locate the hose reel near the fire pit. It’s hooked up to a frost-proof hydrant. Lift the hydrant handle straight up and run the hose to ensure you know how it operates
- Keep off of the rocks surrounding the fire pit and watch your step around the fire pit, especially at night
- Keep chairs and belongings at least 3 ft from the flames
- Never leave the fire unattended
- Feel free to use any firewood that’s stacked in the carport
- No burning trash, plastics, or treated wood
- When you’re done, spray the embers with the hose until all heat is gone
- Always extinguish completely before leaving
